Best tire ever. For real, I bought my bee three years ago, ditched the gay *** ET drag wheels and got myself some “H” code wheels. 15x6.5 up front and 15x8 in the back. The back wheels came from ramchargers as an option from factory. Before I bought tires everybody told me “oh BF’s or whatever else. The restoration shop I was working at told be polyglas. Glad I did. Yeah they ride like **** but I didn’t buy the car for a smooth ride, I like the side to side action the bias ply gives. You actually have to drive the car. 30,000 miles later, I’m buying another set for hopefully another 30,000. My two cents

I bought a set of Goodyear polyglas tires with the raised white lettering on the side. The same as I had on my GTX back in the day. Yeah they do ride like **** but like they look cool as hell. Wouldn’t change em out for anything. Not too funny how expensive they are though....

Tire technology has come light years with 50 years of progress. I remember the dawn of the glass and kevlar belted tires in the late 60's and early 70's. Just dreaded Saturdays. Every one was adjustment day on belted tires. Shakes, rattles and the unwinding of belting and tread from suspensions were the rule of the day. The warranty was always figured from a base way above actual selling price resulting in an unfair charge to the customer. Credit to the dealer was figured using their cost less the amount collected from the customer to reduce the dealers amount of credit. If you collected a lower amount you lost money. This was 50 years ago and still causes nightmares. The fresh reproduction tires produced today utilize today's technology and are a much better product. Dave

Yeah, those tires may look good and I hope you enjoy them. If you ever buzz that car up to 160mph+ you may have some problems.

Great post, this was true. And, we used to do a "vulcanized" tire patch for holes. (Even Mr. Spock would be ashamed.)

YIKES ! Yes, the smoke off that stuff would make you stagger a little.

And don't try to corner in the rain. I like my Mopars and prefure to run good tires with black walls that handle and ride well. Your car isnt going to look pretty after it hits a barrier, guardrail, pole or you slide it under a truck.

It does get slippery in the rain but if you were to hit a barrier, guardrail and so on, I would consider that a driver error........
