What do you want to know specifically? They are stamped stamped with the last 6 digits of the vin. Driver side channel under the weatherstrip and on the radiator support, driver side on the radiatior side.

That is true for the '69 and '70 models. The '68's have the #S.O. number stamped.

Yes i hawe lokated the stampings but they are uppside down on the rad.suport the letters are stamped whit different sice stamps and the letters are in wrong order the serial nr. is ok . On the trunkrail the first letter is missing the letters are in wrong order the serial nr. is ok is this common or are there other dokumented errors made regarding the stampings ?

Edit: looked up your profile, you're asking for a 70 V-code Bee?

A 1970 VIN body stamp shows the plant location switched with the year (i.e. "A0100430") from the VIN on the dash (say WM23V0A100430). The radiator stamp could be on the top or side depending on which plant location it came out of, and I imagine it could be upside down if on the side. The positions of each letter/numeral might not all be level and in line. Posting pics would get the best help.

Here's a link that fully describes VIN or Serial Number stamps for years and body styles:

Hope you can see the stamping the vin and fendertag says VOG the radsuport is stamped VGO the trunk GO the lower part off the numbers are allmost unreadable is this somebody having a bad day on the assemblyline or is it something else ?

I agree, nothing to worry about. If it's not level I would want to see consistency between the two body locations in its unlevelness, if that makes sense?

100430 is very early, probably not much delay from actual build to your SPD and built in the first couple days of production. Sloppiness in die setting could be from rusty hands from their weeks of idleness from stamping the 69's, or a new guy needing practice at his new line position. Or drunken lunch.

Ok heard a romor that wead was common in those days too !
