I'm looking to buy a good working Mopar Performance orange or chrome race box. I don't want a Rev n nator or fbo(both too expensive and I hear the new orange boxes don't last. Looking for one of the good ones that work and last. Thank you.

I've got an orange one available that was manufactured in 2010. I don't know when they started going bad.

I have a few laying around. How do you know what the "good" ones are?

I was just told the older ones at least 10 yrs old. Older the better I been told

I'll think about it. Cause brand new they are only $50 with a one year warranty.

I'll dig out what I have and send a pm. Mine should be older than 10 years.

Texas charger 73 your inbox is full. I have 3 extras.

There is only a two and 4 prong ballast right
The 4 prong ballast is not used with any MP box. The Chrome requires a different ohm rating. Off the top of my head, I do not remember what it is.
The “suggested” coil to use is also different IIRC

Poor connections (including grounds) and excessive heat will not help ECU life ..............

Well my car is running 4 prong ballast. I thought 2 pro g ballast was for points ignition. Can I use the 4 prong with orange box? 73 factory electronic ignition

How many ohms is the 4 prong ballast?
While any ballast will work, the wrong one can’t do it job properly and damage will Eventually result.

Not sure of ohms. It's just a factory 4 prong ballast. I'll have to search

My four prong is bypassed and I'm using the chrome box with a Pertronix Flame - Thrower II coil. No issues, great performance.
