So I've been a drag race fan, spectator, and racer my entire life. I'm almost 50. My Dad used to take my brother and me to the E-town Winston Championship Series (WCS) points meet once per year. I've always been a Cragar SS fan as my grandfather had them on the '69 Road Runner (that's now mine) since it was new.
About the furthest back that I remember, everyone started running Super Tricks on their drag cars. That was likely '71 or '72 I'm guessing. I put "Tricks and Slicks" on every model I built, slot car, and anything that I drew.

Fast forward to today, and I'm halfway to a pair of Super Tricks for one of our Mopars. I have the satin-finished front ones, but need a pair of 15 x 8's with 4.5" back spacing, or 15 x 10's with 5.5" back spacing. They are nowhere to be found. Any hoarders out there have a pair tucked away?

Let's see some photos of drag cars with "Tricks and Slicks"!

I don't remember "super tricks", but I pulled up some pictures on-line. Can you post a pic of what you have? The pictures I saw look A LOT like old Centerlines except they had two sets of bolt holes. I have a set of 15"x10" with 4-5/8" backspacing Centerlines I might part with. If you can't find the "super tricks" it may be a good option for you.

I put Super Tricks on my GTX back in the early 70's and they are still there. At times you can find them on eBay as Cragar ceased production many years ago.

Thanks Beeper. They look just like Centerlines except the Super Tricks are bolted together. The Centerlines look like they're riveted together. They have a smooth head. I'm not interested in Centerlines, but I appreciate your offer. I have a buddy though that's a Centerline nut. He may be interested. PM me if you can.

GTX Racer, any photos? Unfortunately the back spacing is never correct. That surprises me. Most mid-sized muscle cars that I've worked on take this size wheel if you want to fill the wheel well. Most of the vintage wheels that you find have a small back spacing. 3-3.5" seems common. That means you have to jack the car up to clear the tires. I need mine inside the wheel well.

Thanks for asking, I do have lots of pics and I will post some later. You are correct about the limited choice of back spacing that was available. I had to special order the 10 inch ones with 6 1/2 back space. I waited almost 3 months for them. It is a chore taking them on and off with Hoosier 12X29X15 slicks but it can be done. Finding any in good condition is rare and spendy. Good luck.

My memory on those is that they were a very heavy wheel that took a special lug nut that was very deep. Might have been a circle lock wheel for vari-fit. Dave

I had them on my car and they cracked, most of them went in the garbage where they belong. I run the Centerlines as they have a similar look but are very strong.

Oh contrare, 65 3 times, the Super Trick wheels made by Cragar are very light, that being said they are "race only" wheels with a sticker on the inside stating this. They are spun aluminum and the halves are bolted together and they could be had with dual bolt patterns. Later Cragar did market "Street Super Tricks" that are steel which makes them fairly heavy.:moparsmiley:

That's what I remember. "Street super tricks". Wow! That was almost 50 yrs ago. 14X10's with N50X14 belted tires. Air shocks with extensions. Go very slow in and out of driveways to keep tires off fender lips. Man we screwed up some really nice cars back then. Dave

Yes the Super Tricks were light. Much lighter than the Centerlines. Tricks were "race only", not for street, Centerlines were DOT approved.

SuperTricks are the stuff of legends!.. Love 'Em! I can attest that Bob's GTX (GTXRacer) Looks great with them! Hope you find a set!

I had the Centerline wheels up front on my 66 Dart and the Crager Super Tricks in the rear. This was around 1979. They were still popular even in 1982 when I rolled this car. Ron

I have them on my car and that's a hard size to find that you are looking for.

The ones on the front of my 66 Dart were the 5 lug 4 inch bolt pattern. Talk about hard to find today ?? Ron
