Everything seems pretty good. Except for the winding sheathes. Having trouble locating something to replace them.
Anyone know anything in particular i should be looking at?
The motor gear has some spider cracks through the guts of it but nothing to bad. The outside looked worse then the inside. Brushes dont look half bad either.
Any tests i can do on the windings?
I remember seeing a post with a few procedures i just cant seem to find it now.

Wow Aussie, you really dug into that motor! Are you going to completely rebuild it yourself or just fix the minor things you can see? What did you decide to do with the switch issue...look for a more modern three speed or use a two speed and forget it? I bought an after market two speed switch that matches my other dash components and hope it works in that mode, got tired of trying to find something that was as illusive as unobtanium! About to pull the trigger on a Ron Francis headlight switch because it has the look I want and all the features. Scanning the web I find switches comparable and cheaper but no wiring diagram or customer service to call to work out issues...if any. Thanks for the pictures!

Yeah well im pretty much finished my wiring harness now except for the wiper circuit. There isnt actually much to them in dismantling and assemling them as ive found out. Pretty basic. Don't know how i go about testing it though. I would like to rebuild it myself if not i would send it to passion4mopars or someone like that but the postage to the states would prob kill it.
Yeah i remember now that mine only had 1 speed and im pretty sure that was low speed and when i flicked it to high it just stalled and got hot. I never looked into how the P.O had it wired up but my gess judging by everything else on the car it was wired wrong.
Im still hangig out for that ever elusive 3 speed switch that i like. I have emailed Rin francis to ask them about their switches but i have had no respone yet. Im thinking i will just get it and make it work and if it doesnt, there is always the next project!
I did find some heated windings after a little cleanup yesterday.

I'd do a search on what you suggest before sending it over here.
Pause.

I think the wiper circuit was an after thought by Chrysler.
Is that a two speed motor then? (low/high)
If it is a two speed with a three speed switch,I have a simplified print I made about how it worked with a three speed switch when I serviced mine.
(This is for a 67 wire colors probably are right for you)
I've got "how to "pictures but I don't know if anyone really cares about that.

What i suggest?

No its the opposite. 3 speed motor with a 2 speed switch. Thanks for the schematic. It will come in handy

I repaired mine with some heat resistant 1-2mm fibre glass sleeving. Also got hold of some winding tape to keep it all together. I've got plenty left over if you want some. Should be able to wrap some tape around a dowel or something to get that to you as well if you like.

The second pic with the bright colours was before i got the fibre sleeving. I tried out some computer sleeving but it was way too big. Also had to re-tape because it wasn't tight enough. By the time i got the proper sleeving i was better at taping it together. I had to join the windings at the base because it broke. That pic obviously isn't the end result. it turned out a lot better than what you see there but i didn't take a pic unfortunately. Ran it on the bench (kitchen table) for an hour on high and low and works fine. the red paint is winding lacquer. If you're interested in the sleeving and tape pm me your address and i'll send you a few feet. I'm in Melbourne by the way.

Here's a test procedure for when you're done. Found it posted by someone doing the same thing a while back.
Test #1(Hi speed)
Connect jumper wire from motor case to battery ground.

Connect second jumper wire from battery positive to BROWN lead.

Motor should run hi speed continuously.

Test #2 (Lo speed)
Connect jumper wire from motor case to battery ground.

Connect jumper wire from GREEN wire to battery ground.

Join BROWN and RED wires together and connect a jumper wire from battery positive to them.

Motor should run at slower speed.

Test #3 (Park)
Connect jumper wire from motor case to battery ground.

Connect jumper lead from GREEN to BROWN wire.

Connect jumper wire from red wire to ground.

Connect jumper wire from Blue wire to battery positive.

Motor should reverse and park.

(Depending on where the motor had stopped the park feature may have a full rotation or very short rotation
