Finally got myself a mopar! 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite. Seems to be all original minus a couple things. Trying to read and soak up as much info as possible. From what ive read here at FBBO 68' is different in that a partial VIN doesnt appear on the fender tag but the fender tag/rad support/trunk lip should match correct? Here are some pics of the car. Typical rot around rear windshield and a little bondo on the lower quarters but over all pretty solid. Will have to replace torsion bar x member and the rear shackle boxes are shot so might as well get the relocation kit

Awsome car and worth every penny when you find out what it will do for your MOJO! Pound it out and clean er up then build a big hairy assed stroker. Good luck

Haha thanks! Yes big things in the future I hope! I think she's a keeper, perfect timing seeing it come up for sale as I had just sold my 31' Tudor sedan model a and my 70' chevelle, both project cars but my driveway was looking too empty. Always wanted a mopar but seeing some of the higher prices they bring I never thought id own one till this one came up!

She shows only 61k miles, seems to be true seeing how clean the engine valley is. On the 68's where would the casting marks be to verify if this is the original engine or not?

Very cool! 68 Sat....Keep it a Sat!

Welcome to the forum!

Take good care of that grill, hard item to get.

sweet looking project keep us posted on your progress

Black interior will save you some $. Can I give you some advice I wish I'd gotten. When disassembling bag and tag everything! I'm on year 4 now and have trouble remembering some things. Also take pictures of everything before disassembling. Put you wants and needs out there. We have extras we love helping people out with!
Where is grass valley?

Thanks everyone! Plan is to keep it a Sport Sat. No gtx cloning. Might try and find some buckets seats to put back in it but fine with the bench seat for now. If I can get the intake valves unseized, have em soaking in MMO, I plan on driving the 318. If not might go for a 440/4 speed swap. The car actually has the clutch pedal mounted but no hump in the trans tunnel. Possibly one of the previous owners was working on swapping for a manual

Thanks for the advice! So far its just been engine work but when disassembly happens I will make sure to bag/tag everything and lots of pics. Grass Valley is in between Sacramento Ca. And Lake Tahoe

I have a build thread 69 gtx and Justin (moparnation74) also has a 69 GTX thread, "for the love of my father" you might find some good tips there, and may save you some grief.
There are a lot similarity's between the GTX and Sport Satellite.
