68 RR engine removed and repaint

Well only had the car for a few weeks now and already couldn't stand the look of the engine compartment, too dam ****.

Anyway previous owner had some funky heat shield. Adding new wiring harness, alu. water pump, Hotchkis suspension. New disk brakes. Firm Feel stage 2 steering box, new hoses through out. Paint should go on tomorrow.

Waaaayyy easier to do with everyone out of the bay. Still a lot of work, but much better results.
 
Quick update back from paint shop ready for motor. The red is just reflection.

Yes, I don't have all the specs in front of me but I will post them when I do.

I went with the Orange Hemi paint, I like it better than the blue, the car was originally a B5 Blue, all number matching car, automatic. 383 HP.
 
I thought I would update this, I’ve posted other sections but I’ll add the here also. Interior dash needs some work, motor runs good, have an exhaust leak.
