anyone have a 64 fury or belvedere running N50/15's m&h's muscle tires?
i have about 13.5 inches w/super stock springs. stock wheel wells! says would need 9" rim.

for N50/15' tires? you can use 8 inch to 10 inch rims

They would be a tight fit. Back spacing would have to be on money. I have a set of Nitto extreme drag radials 275/50r15's on 8" wide wheels 4" back spacing. This is a 65 Dodge Coronet. Cross section is 11.18" and the M&H are 12.8" cross sectional. I have 5/8" to fender clearance. Picture I'll post is inner side. IMO to close to call. See what someone else says.

I saw your post. I have a 65 coronet also. I'm looking to put S/S springs in back(3800 lbs). I have air shocks currently but want something more stable. Shocks have about 90 lbs of air in them . Front end and backend raised pretty high. Also looking to put 29.5x10x15 pie crust cheater slicks on back. Looking at 15x8 steel wheel with 4.5 " back space. Would appreciate your input. Thanks

I used them on my 64 Savoy. As mentioned, the back space has to be dead on. And even at that they rub the wheel houses unless the *** is jacked up to unsightly standards. I have a Dana rear plus I had the wheels custom built to my specs. Oh, and a Dr. Diff spring relocation kit that gives me another ¾" or so.

What wheels are you using?

I have a 66/67 Dana (I believe in my car because of the 1330 yoke) 59 3/8" wide. My car has S/S 3600 lbs springs. You don't say what cross sectional width of your tires. Really what I'd do put a bare wheel on your rear. With the weight on the suspension put a straight edge vertical on each side of the wheel and measure distance to springs and quarter lip. Measure wheel backspacing and wheel width to figure what back spacing would center the wheel in the opening. You should be able to figure if the cross sectional width of the tire will fit. Measure both sides they can vary side to side, Cranky pointed this out in several threads. You don't have to mount a wheel but I think it would be easier that way or remove drum and use axle flange and add drum thickness after. It sound like a tight fit with those tires, back spacing will be critical. Carpenter's adage measure twice cut once.

I had a new pair of M/h,N5015`s that jegs advertised for a 10" wheel, w/ less than 20 pounds of air they weren`t sitting on the ground flat, Jegs took them back, I can`t imagine them working on 8" rims !! I wouldn`t try it at all. the m/h tires never held anything I owned anyway, 14" slicks on down ! The most impressive slicks I`ve ever owned were hoosiers. Don`t know about their drag radials tho, I run 295 65 15 M/T`s.

I have pretty much that set up, cheaters fit very well (with room to spare), no tubs.

Sonny,, this is what i have, 64 plymouth sport fury, has a stock dana 60 in a stock wheel well. alum. slot rims 15x8 w/4.5 backspace. the tires are M&H's 275/60/15.
on the right side well i have 3/4" left space. on the left i have 5/8" so thats about as big as you can get! overall on the tire is 12" wide. bout 27" high can go taller, that i have room for plenty. but it'll change gear ratio.
