M&H tires on a 64 plymouth

Which super stock springs do you have ? How much did it raise rear of car over stock height ? I have air shocks and its 23 in from street to lip of wheel opening. Looking to get same height from s/s springs if possible. Thanks
they make 2 diff type of S/S springs

S/S springs make the rear of the car set unevenly. I believe the right side will be 1" to 1-½" higher from the ground to the wheel lip.

Most major metro areas have truck shops/leaf spring rebuilding service. If you need the car to set 2" higher, remove the springs and have the shop re-arch them 2". You'll get the height you need and the car will set level. Or, you can order a custom set from St. Louis Spring. They'll build to factory or your specs.

If you need more room between the tire and the leaf spring, get the relocation kit from only Dr. Diff while the springs are out. You'll have to cut off and re-install new spring perches about 1" on each side and set the correct pinion angle.

There's also options on front spring hangers, multi holes, to raise or lower.

if your looking for height i don't believe the 002-003 SS springs will give it to you. it didn't on my car.

Yes, that's why I recommended Dr Diff's kit. They have two holes in the front hanger in addition to moving the springs inboard.

I saw your post. I have a 65 coronet also. I'm looking to put S/S springs in back(3800 lbs). I have air shocks currently but want something more stable. Shocks have about 90 lbs of air in them . Front end and backend raised pretty high. Also looking to put 29.5x10x15 pie crust cheater slicks on back. Looking at 15x8 steel wheel with 4.5 " back space. Would appreciate your input. Thanks
I'm running the exact same tire & wheel combo on my 65 plymouth with 3800lbs springs on both sides & the fit just fine could maybe go slightly bigger if I really wanted to push it but my car also has a 63 rear end which I believe is 1.5" narrower than a 65 & dodge front spring hangers to push the rear back an 1" with that being said my same tire & wheel combo bolted on my 65 dodge with correct 65 rear & ss springs rub on the springs & wheel well lip.

Were the s/s springs on the 65 dodge 3800lbs ? did they raise back of car and how much? Also was it the same amount on each side ?

Is the right spring bigger than the left on the s/s springs? Thanks

They used to make about 4-5 diff spring sets for diff. weight of cars. Probly stiil do. Chrysler always said, if u can`t hit it right on the exact weight, to go a hair liter on the spring, it will work better.

You sure about the 1" 1.5" difference. Thought they added a couple of half leafs or a full jeaf and half leaf to the right side spring.

I can't be sure about anything Mopar does these days. I only brought up the issue because historically there was a difference. Spring sag and quality was also an issue when they were built in Mexico years ago. I guess now it's a case of buyer beware.

The right spring used to be taller when stood up side by side on the ground.

I found an old profile pic from Spring Fling. These are St. Louis Springs factory leaf count, 2" arch over stock, front eye in the upper hole, M&H N50-15.
