Spectra fuel tanks are made in on the island of Laval in the Province of Québec. I went with stainless tanks ,lines and pick-up for my verts, the clean and reflective look. Good pricing on Ebay.

If your looking to achieve the factory original look, my first choice would be the Spectra tank. They are OE equivalent with very slight variations from what came on the car when new. The stainless tanks has a bright appearance as compared to the galvanized appearance of the Spectra tanks. A variety of vendors sell the stainless tanks and they are probably two to three different importers of the tanks.
I personally feel that some of the cheaper painted tanks are not worth the time of installing them. I have had people tell me that they develop internal rust issues leading to leaks within three years of installation. Also some of them are of thinner metal and upon tightening the lock ring, the metal around the lock ring will distort. So as they say, you pay for what you get.

I've always bought the spectra tanks with the factory appearance and always been very pleased. I buy them from tamrazs parts.

I’ve bought a couple of Spectra tanks through Rock Auto. You might check their prices against what’s on eBay. There is a member on here selling the original heavy duty lock rings, much better quality than the flimsy reproduction ones. Don’t remember who at this time.

If you or anyone else remembers who has the rings, let me know please. I may be able to reuse mine, I don't have it off yet

HALIFAXHOPS, maybe? It’s been a year or so, just don’t remember for sure.

We have the lock rings that are the correct thickness. We had them made, and they are available in both a zinc coated metal finish and a stainless version. We sell them to a variety of vendors or you can contact me directly or I will have them at the Indy show on March 3rd and 4th.

Awesome, I don't have the tank off yet so I'm not sure on the condition of my original but if I need one, I'll get back to you. What do you get out of them?

I ordered my tank from Vans, zinc coated. No issues at all, stainless would be nice if uou see inclement weather. My tank was something stupid like $108 shipped.

Bill Rolik Enterprise, under Fuel page 14, # 170095SS, if you don't have an original.
