Help getting H2O out of an A904

We're trying to get 20 year old oil/water out of the A904. The trans lines are off the radiator, drained the converter and we are pulling the valve body.
What else can be done to cleanse the trans before reassembly and refilling?
Should I be opening test ports, blowing air in holes, etc?

Brake wash. It will clean out the oil and it made to evaporate quickly.

Look for any signs of rusted steel parts inside.

If water sat inside it for any length of time, you are crazy not going for a complete tear down and overhaul.
There are way too many things inside to rust up, stick together, fail in general.

I use denatured alcohol, works great and mixes with the water and makes it evaporate, but do a teardown!

No rust in the trans but lots of what looked like light brown paint. I suspect the water sat in the bottom of the pan only and was then pumped throughout the trans for the first time when I pulled the car on the trailer.
Been a while since I went through a A904 valve body. Is there a handy A904 assembly manual online? Just curious if I got the balls in the right spots.

The water can't be "flushed". If it got pumped through it's in the bands and clutch(es) and I wouldn't trust them to function well. If you don't care, get out what you can and refill with atf, and see if you can get it to work. But I'd pretty much say it's clock is ticking.

After getting cleaned up, shift body looks good. Called dodging bullets!
Listen to moper. You have a good chance of getting a decent trans, even after getting watered down.
Get a set of gaskets, tear it completely down, and get it ALL cleaned. Parts are probably all good...just need the crap removed, then good to go. Why take the chance?
