VACUUM PUMP FOR HEMI?

I'm curious, has anyone ever used the Saginaw OEM style pump used by GM and Ford for this application? I'm figuring they would be cheap enough and serve the purpose?

Are you running full exhaust with those evacs? If so, that’s probably an issue.

Or even running collector mufflers with those can be a problem. Too much backpressure and not enough flow to keep the check valves open.

Disconnect the evacs, stick a breather in each cover and see if your leak stops.

I do have tti headers, tti x-pipe, dynomax mufflers & trumpet tips ending under passenger compartment, NOT full length system to rear bumpers.

Your evacs aren’t doing anything with all of that exhaust. Try a couple of breathers for a while.

Right now, the 8-stack EFI is being installed and the evac hoses have been eliminated too, to see if that helps.
I have two questions:
Does your car have a full exhaust system?
Is your Moroso 4-vane effective & do you have any rear main leaks?

No, I have 3" Bullet Mufflers dumped under the car. No up over the axle tail pipes.
Yes, it was effective & made more power on dyno. Not as much as we were hoping due to I am running a 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 ring pack since it is still street driven & not just a full race engine with much thinner less tension rings. No rear main seal leaks either. It's been two years and not a drop under the car.

May I ask, did you have any leaks before adding the Moroso pump??

Have you checked all the obvious things like the rear main seal retainer hitting the #5 main cap and/or studs and nuts? Side seal issues? Ring seal problems? Etc.
