Hey,

Quick survey. I'm looking into ordering a new dash pad for my 71 RR. Is there a considerable difference between the ABS or steel frame dash pads? Looking to build on a budget, but don't want to regret it. do i just pay the extra 100+ and get the steel? Awaiting your input. Thanks.

I'd be more concerned about the appearance than what the frame is made of.

When ABS frames are exposed to heat, they react just as you would expect plastic to react when hot. Stay away like flypaper says. Steel frame if your budget allows...

Different car and year, but i ordered a dash pad from Classic industries for my '69 Coronet.
Yes it comes with a price, but was well worth it.
Appearance is like OEM and good quality and perfect fitment, vinyl over a steel core.

I agree with above, if budget allows go for the real deal.
