Ive owned several B bodies over the years & currently have 2. This is one of my current projects. 87 D150 I call the D440. Because it now has a 440/727/8.75 with a 3.91 sure grip. Still working on it. I’ve owned it about 4 years now. The best pass is a 14.34 spinning a bit off the line with ET radials mounted. Here is a pic

of when I got it & how it looks today. It’s lite in the rear & has a ton of torque. Translations: fun to drive

Used to run a 79 D150 with a transplanted Super Coupe 360. It wasn't all that fast but it ran consistent 15.60 so that helped in the fun department. Before I got a 3.91 for it, I used a pair of Good Year G-60's that were 25" tall. Street running it had 10.50-31's mounted on Super Coupe wheels so the shorter tires lowered the rear of the truck which seemed to help it with traction. The original carb from the 360 was gone when I bought the wrecked car so it ended up with a Torker intake and a 650 DP Holley.

shout out for big block truck

AC is a nice touch

Nice truck.

I owned a 87 with a 8' bed. Rust free. Should have kept it but I needed a heavier truck to pull my enclosed trailer.

Nice truck - I remember when the '87s were brand new, I liked them then and still do.

But with your title "Not a B but a D" I was expecting to see an Imperial. :)

What headers are you running? Would like to find a set of big block truck headers.

The factory truck manifolds are center dump on both sides. Next best thing to headers. I like them better.........No leaks and more room.
Here are a couple pics of mine.
