So I bought my daughter a 71 Charger and need some help. I have bought lots of stuff, but need to see the inside of the front fenders. The rockers are rot, the 1/4s behind both rears are rot and the front fenders behind the wheels are rot. The driver front frame has cancer. I have a welder coming to fix the spot on the frame rail and do a patch, my welder/welding is not to par with that job, I have a small MIG, nothin that can penetrate deep.

The question I have is can someone send a pic of what the inside of the fender is supposed to look like, the brace looks like it was cut off and has 1/4 bar stock welded in place as the interior support. I'll post pics tonight when I get home. I need to know what I need to do and where to get front fenders if I need to replace them.

I think they reproduce the dog leg. Full quarters are also available.

Boom ordered the lower fender w/o brace for each side. should I order the brace too? Part #: 872-2671-1LH
I can't figure out by the picture where it goes and where to weld it in at.
I didn't see whole fenders for it in case I want to replace the whole thing after looking at it.

You still need a fender picture ? I can go out when the light comes back and take a picture ! I have 72 parts but it's the same minus the light

I'm getting ready to cut up a '73 Satellite, let me know if you need rocker panels (all '71-'74 B Body the same). Both side are rust free. Pass. side has some dents.

fenders are very difficult to find due to rust issues in back of the headlight and on top of the fender in that area. They also seem to get dent creased on the front edges.

Check your cowl vent areas and your frame horns at the rear K frame biscuits.

If any of that stuff is rusted out, you may want to find a better body to start with.

I had to buy three before I got a keeper.

YEs the pics would be helpful.
You are right no older cars here to pull from. The culture is to junk everything and buy new. Very small selection, and Mopar is very hard. I am always on the hunt.

What is the rear frame K biscuit?

I cant get to it right now I had some house painters come and do some work (they showed up a week earlier than planned), they covered everything...(glad they did) Just thought I could get to it and get a few pics for what I was looking at.
