On the little 318 two barrel, one barrel feeds four cylinders and the other barrel feeds the other four cylinders. You can tell which barrel feeds which cylinders by inspecting the intake manifold.

Which barrels feed which cylinders on the 440 six pack?

Well, it's a dual plane intake & it has a "split plenum" so right half of all 3 carbs feeds one side of the engine & the left half of all 3 carbs feed the other half. Is that enough information? I'd have to take a look to see which side feeds which side. Just based on how close the carburetors are to each cylinder, I'm pretty sure the front carb feeds 80% of the front two cylinders & the rear carb feeds 80% of the back two cylinders....or something like that.

Thank you, Purple Beeper, do please take a look and see which side of the carburetors feeds which side of the engine. Agreed, the front carburetor most likely feeds 80% of the front two cylinders, and possibly the driver's side of the front carburetor feeds #1?

Reason I have asked this question is that I pulled all the plugs, #1 and #4 are badly fouled, the other six are normal.

I suspect that one barrel of the six pack is running rich, question is, which barrel?

When I wanted to know, I took the carburetors off and looked.

Thank you, I may wind up doing that.

Sounds like maybe your float level is too high on the front carb. Fuel might be trickling in. Try adjust it or changing out the Needle & seat for another new one.

Thank you, didn't think of the float level, I'll check that, that's quick easy to do.
