Hey guys,

I've received my correct bucket seats for my '69 Coronet, as my car currently has a set of '70 bucket seats with the integrated head rests.
I was lucky enough to get a mail from a Mopar shop that had a set of seats for sale.
These seats were originally from a 4 door model and therefore did not had the latch to unlock and fold away like for a hardtop.
I did receive a set of brackets/latch with the seats with the little chrome handle but i cannot figure out how this supposed to be installed.
I did get it installed in a way, when lifting the handle it moves but does not clear the pin and therefore will not fold away.
Now looking at some pics on google, it looks like the latch is facing down, but in this case i think it should need a spring or so to return it to latch.
Does anyone has some pictures and/or explanation on how this supposed to be installed?

Strange enough but i decided to try installing the latch on the other side of the seat and it just fits.
So making the driver seat the passenger seat...maybe that is the trick?
Or that is what supposed to be done.
On the other hand, i can only assume this is the driver seat as the cover is much more worn then the other one.

And i am quite sure i already found a small spring that probably is for this function on Classic Industries.

Edit: After i got it installed on the other side of the seat i tried to reinstall the plastic hinge cover but that does not fit with the latch installed this way.
There must be something i am doing wrong here.
Are the latch from the bench seat and bucket seat the same?

Anyone an idea on this?
What went wrong here?

Looks to me like you have the bracket with the latch on upside down, which might indicate you have the drivers side on the passenger side seat and vice versa.

Latch should lift UP when on the back of the seat.

The seat is lying on it's back, so the vertical part is the seat and the horizontal is the back rest.
The big bolt is the hinge pin.
