I've used this forum the last year for some great advice and know how but I just now decided to join. I'm sure I am a heck of a lot younger than most people on this forum so I'm ready for some more schooling on these cars. Picked this car up a few years ago wanting a restoration project. All original, but needs some love.

Welcome aboard from another Coronet fan. Any more details on the car? How young is young?

Young as in below the drinking age. It's an R6 red car, black interior, floor shift automatic, 440, air conditioning, power brakes and steering. Allll numbers matching which is very neat. Even the glass and the wiring. Has what I am told is typical rust for the car. Trunk area, quarter panel behind rear tires, windshield cowl area, little bit on drivers floor, but overall very nice straight body. Have a parts car with it and a truckload of other spare parts as well.

Welcome. Best starting place ever.

Howdy, Rooster. You have excellent taste in Mopars. Good luck on your restoration.

Nice to see another ‘69 Coronet R/T!
Looks like a solid base for a full resto.
Noticed the passenger side rear view mirror. Did it came originally with the car?
What plant was it build at?
My car also supposed to be R6 red but changed color before i got it

Good luck with your project, i am sure this forum is all you need for information and knowledge!

welcome, cool car! love a coronet especially a rt.

I've done a decent amount of work since I've had it, including the teardown and documenting everything. Redid the suspension so it sits well and moveable to be worked on. Restored the seats. And got the body blasted for the long and ugly stage....metalwork. I'll dig out some pictures soon to show all.

Welcome from Ohio to THE site.

Below the drinking age? In Canada? What is that? 12 ??
Welcome...Yeah, there are some "seasoned" members here but with that comes lots of knowledge and experience. Some are really helpful.
The Coronet is the same under the skin as the Charger and Road Runner. Many parts interchange. Far fewer Coronet R/Ts than Road Runners and Chargers though so you have a car that will not be seen at every car show. That is great.
There are lots of structural improvements that you can do that don't cost too much. Be sure to check out the other sub-forums here for info on that. Feel free to send private messages to members here with cars built the way you like. I get messages from time to time from guys asking about suspension and steering stuff. I am a big fan of optimizing the factory design by upgrading and reinforcing the stock based parts. Some guys go the other route by installing aftermarket K members and rack and pinion steering.
Again, welcome and good luck.

No sir, USA. If you want to throw out numbers it would be 19. It is exciting and there is much to learn. I have several books and such, but I know that book knowledge is very different from experience.

BB, 4 speed, Dana! Power bulge. All the good stuff. Need more pics of your car.
