Did you know that Japan came back to Pearl Harbor to try again in 1942?

I own 2 Lexus and have owned 2 Honda’s - Trust me they build a great car. Sadly my only American car is my GTX. The Japs have us beat in the family car business.
What they lack in humanity, they make up for in engineering.
I don't think I've ever owned a bad Japanese product.

I wonder what Detroit would be feeding us now if the Honda and Toyota cars hadn't forced them to build something better? at one time GM had 49% of the market share; now it's 19%. they didn't loose all that share for no reason.

Asian cars hit town at the height of the gas wars with great mileage and cheap prices.
Don't remember the US makers offering much that was sleek and modern with the same for the bucks.

I have an 86 Nissan PU that I use to haul parts, junk, firewood, ect........ A/C blows ice cold, power windows have never failed, runs like a sewing machine........ I have replaced the usual alternator, starter, ect; but dayumm, I can't kill it........ it doesn't even leak or burn oil... try that with anything American from the 80s

my '04 ram 1500 has a little over 87,000 miles. never ever abused! now it's turning into a money pit. it has the fuel tank issue and i'm surprised nobodies been killed with that one! last fall I sold my '02 sebring convertible. never drove the car in the snow and salt and it only seen rain if I accidently got caught; rusting out! i'm totally done with Detroit!

Sorry, will not buy foreign cars. We have had good luck with the American cars we owned we drive the wheels off ours before we replace them. I sold my 91' Ram five years ago just because it was staining the drive way with rust spots. It was still running when I saw it last about two years ago.
