Hi,

Been an avid spectator for awhile, recently posted on the Welcome Wagon and now posting a project thread. A few members and vendors have helped me out already and I'm sure I'll be asking for more advice...very grateful.

My project started as B5 blue/blue 69 Charger 383 2bbl with console Auto and A/C.

I purchased it from a shop in Washington state without drivetrain or suspension as I was planning on modernizing everything under the hood and underneath.

I'm horrible at bodywork so I had the shop finish the body and paint before I picked it up.

I just completed the USCartools subframe and front/rear torque box install after body work...required some convincing but they all eventually went in.

I also sectioned out the factory crossmember in preparation for the Tremec 6 speed on the way.

Question for the group: Since I am going with coil-over front end, is there any reason I cannot cut off the torsion bar 'perches' installed in the original crossmember? (the cylinders that run parallel to the driveline)

I don’t see why you couldn’t cut them off... which front end are you using
