Anyone going to the Street Machine Nationals in June?

This is a yearly thing my son, a buddy, and myself do. We make the drive from the DFW area in Texas over to IL. I've been going for the last 6 years. 4 of those years we didn't take a car. The last 2 we've taken my buddy's 56 chevy. My goal is for my 71 Satellite to make it this year. It's a definite maybe.

I was hoping maybe there was someone on here that was local to the area. We'd really like to know if there are any good spots people get together in the evening and cruise. We usually stay in Marion IL and there is a little but not much for the number of cars that are there for the show.

Anybody go to this show?

I’m in Indiana now, used to live in IL. Never heard of it though would be interested once my car is up and running.

It's in DuQuoin IL at the fair grounds. Sponsored by General Tire this year. June 15 thru 17. Last year was the most cars I've ever seen there. Takes up the whole fair ground.
