My wife informed me I cannot buy this car. I wanted it and was keeping the link to myself. But since I cant buy it I will give you guys a shot at it. The price is great for the car. Black on black velvet Tx9 car. Needs floor pans and quarter work. But its a true bee. White C-stripe car.

Lol but like I told her it's the car I wanted since I was a 16 and it's in a decent price range for people on a budget. Not everyone can afford a pristine ride. Some cars are built not bought.

sorry the wife said no and I know about the budget

Cool. for the price theres lot of possibilities on that one.... lots of work.. but your not breaking the bank on the purchase price..

If I were closer I would check it out. Projects like that let you go whichever direction you want.

One would have $80-100k in that car before you can say OOPPPPSSS!!!!!! Unless you did EVERYTHING yourself, then probably $25-40k in parts, depending on which engine you buy, UNLESS you bought a junkyard something and rebuilt it YOURSELF! No pic of the front, is the grille there all in one piece???? More bank.
Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have that car but I shot my wad on the GTX.
There are two brothers that make at least all of the west coast Mopar shows ,Autorama, and Good Guys that have a black on black 70 Bee like that that has been meticulously restored. Absolute knockout of a car!

Yea it takes some serious cash to get these cars back even half *** correct. But having a decent car to build would be cool. Its not like having a run of the mill Belvedere. Not saying those cars are worthless but saying they are not as desirable as say a GTX or a Roadrunner. Like this car being not a run of the mill Coronet. It has some value to it. But to each his own. I see a hell of a project in this car.

But for some of us guys we have to admire from afar because some of the cars are way to much in price. But for guys like me that don't mind sporting a Joe Dirt Daytona around all trashy and ****. its not a problem, its a long term rolling project. :)

How very true. My '70 is "complete" and "runs". By the time I get the body work and paint, the interior re-upholstered, the dash restored, and other miscellaneous work complete, I'm going to have $40k in it, and I paid $14k for it. The ATL car - you'd have buy the entire interior - that's not cheap; car will be $60 - $80k easy based on what it needs and what folks are getting for OEM/Repo parts. Might be cheaper to forget original and Resto-Mod it. Still expensive.

The last couple of cars my wife said I should buy turned out to be big money pits so I sold them. Wasn't long after that she left me :thankyou:

If the hood is good and has all the ductwork it would be worth the purchase price. Nice grilles and fenders would be icing on the cake.

The work can be done and parts found but......it has no title either.

I agree. Funny though, you look at a lower cost, ragged-out car, and wifey sees a long-term money-pit of a project that will take up a lot of space and time. You show her a cool, complete, needs-no-work 1970 Super Bee for $35k, and she tells you it's insane to pay that for an old car with no air, no power windows, vinyl seats, and bad gas mileage, when you can have 2018 Challenger R/T for less. Can't win, just can't win.

I was thinking on this whole discussion we have here. By some of the logic posted in this topic, anyone restoring a car is an absolute moron. I guess a car is worth to them what they can write a check for. I actually find the hunt more appealing than just buying off the shelf ****. Sure I can go spend 50k on someone else's restored car. I have more fun sitting around a rusted pile o crap thinking about what the next thing is I need to do. Having conversations with friends and talking to people on forums like this are all part of the restoration process. I have seen some guys here doing it themselves and turn out some fantastic work. I have also seen the flip side. Sending the car off for a full rotisserie restoration. <----- Check writers. For some of the guys that actually like doing the work themselves this is why its a hobby. If you can afford to pay for a car that is fully restored hats off to you. But someone is there doing the restoration. I do my own stuff because you would be surprised what people will cover up and pass as a done car. I trust my work not some ones word.
