Looking to improve your Mopar’s response time and handling? Mopars with manual steering of the 1960’s and early 70’s came with a 24:1 steering box ratio which resulted in 5 turns from lock to lock. PST’s new production Mopar manual box has a ratio of 16:1 or 3.5 turns from lock to lock which provides quicker response in and out of turns. Plus for those that track their car, gain weight savings and horse power by eliminating the weight of the power steering box and pump from the front of the car. This ends up helping with quicker weight transfer to the rear wheels and more horse power from eliminating the drag of the pump on the engine. PST’s manual 16:1 Mopar box is available for A, B, and E body Mopars like the Dart, Valiant, Charger, Barracuda Coronet and Roadrunner. I would like to know why PST sells their Borgeson power box for $200. more than any comparable retailer. Hope no one make the mistake of buying one there. Question has been asked before with no answer. Obviously their opinion but begs the question of what else is overpriced

I would be more than happy to answer your question and I sorry that I missed your previous one as for some reason it did not notify me via email of a question. We sell our Borgenson power box for $789 ($710 with members discount) . I know that we are higher priced but we are not a direct retailer for Borgenson as we do not purchase enough from them so we work with a larger distributor and our discount is less hence the higher price. We put this item in at the request of customers that wanted to buy all their product from one supplier. So it is a trade off as we are relatively lower on our suspension and brake components compared to others. So for a customer putting together a larger order it is a trade off for having all item at one supplier. Plus to help offset the cost we offer free shipping on all items within the US 48 states and we offer a 10% off orders for members of the forums of $200 or more.

If you would like to talk about this more in depth please feel free to pm me and I would more than happy to answer your additional questions. But I do not understand the hostility for us and our product.

Thanks

Understand perfectly you can't sell them at a loss and you can't be a distributor for everyone

Hi James-

How would you describe the feel of your new boxes compared to Firm Feel or Steer and Gear boxes, Stage 1,2 or 3?

Thanks

Hello,

I am sorry but I have not personally driven a car with Firm Feels or Steer and Gears boxes. The two cars that I have driven (one being and A and the other being a B ) both had stock boxes that were changed over. The amount of effort at slow speeds was not that much in my opinion.

Thanks
James
