My 71 RR clone has recent paint, I don't plan on driving in any real weather. Looking for a spray and wipe method of cleaning the exterior. Please let me know what fluids and cloths are good to use? Readily available?
Depends how dirty the car is. I typically use spray detailer and just wipe the car down with microfiber. I typically use either Adams detail spray or Gibbs Race Wax.
OK thanks everyone. I went with goclean waterless car wash, hopefully not a horrible decision. Spray and wipe on, wipe off haze with clean terry cloth. Seems to work OK. The car wasn't dirty at all I just wanted to get whatever dust off before installing the California custom dustop cover. Paint is ~2-3yrs old
I use a car duster such as the California car duster to remove as much dust as possible BEFORE wiping the surface. After the duster I use spray detailers, and wax’s. Also I use these edge less towels from the rag company. https://www.theragcompany.com/eagle-edgeless-500-16-x-16-microfiber-towel/
I start with a thorough liquid wax application with a foam pad and low speed buffer, then maintain with California duster and Meguiars Ultimate Qwik Detailer using microfiber towels, haven't washed a hobby car in more than 10 years.
little dish soap in a spray bottle, and a fresh water spray bottle............ sponge and paper towels...... no reason to over complicate things, I do it all the time
