My next challenge for the 1968-70 Charger Franken-Monster Build (been looking for a good car name, ideas welcome) is to figure-out an ignition switch. After I bought the 1970 AC dash for the car (1970 dash wiring harness - the car came without a dash) I realized now I don't have an ignition switch on my column (1969 I think... full moon steering wheel?) or dash.

Some other electrical information: Heavy duty alternator, the engine compartment is wired as a 1969 and the tail lights 1968, the battery is in the trunk, electric fans, mini-starter, Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit and a Vintage Air ac unit.

At the 1:15 minute mark in the movie you can see the dash:

Mount it on the left side on the floor.. push button.. some of the early iron had those under the gas pedal..

Something like this mounted down by the dimmer switch? I could wire up a toggle to activate it.
I also saw some Jeep floor mounted buttons.

I did something simular except i put the button on the floor by the seat rail bolt right front rail in my henry j also the key ign for power was behind the cig lighter after use then put the lighter back in the socket. Alot of extra work. But my car didnt go anywhere.

Thanks, I really like that idea.

I would have to figure out the wiring, then build a box to weld under the floor to protect the push button switch. Did you do that?
Then wire up the key in the lighter. Did you use a mini key for that?

I need to build frames for my racing seats and weld in the wire covers that cover my wires going to the back of the car plus wire in my Winter's Sidewinder Lockout Shifter, console and line lock, this would be a great time to do this as well.

Right now I have this laying on the floor to start it, was fun getting this to work with my 69 engine compartment wiring:

You mean clutch pedal. No solenoid, manually activated starter. Off, acc and run switch.
If you had ever had to start that old system compared to todays vehicles it was idit proof.
