Hey Guys. I'm going to be installing my moisture barriers I got from PCG on my front doors but before I do I need to get a decent grease for my window gears. Looking for something good but not too stinky.

3M silicon paste!

One application and it lasts forever.

White grease works, but gums up and attracts dirt. Silicon paste can be applied so thin that it won't gun up and does not attract dirt. It also doesn't melt until thousands of degrees.
Caliper slides, spark plug boots, throttle and choke linkages, window channels, etc.

Definitely silicon paste or dielectric grease, White lithium grease always drys up to a hard chunk that is very hard to get off, never use it for long term,

Dielectric grease is a good 2nd choice. Keep in mind some are only 70% silicone with Vaseline.

lol....this reminds me of a "whats the best wax" thread.....too flipping funny.....

I looked at one of the factory prints for a window mechanism assembly for my roadrunner and did a search for the chemical description that was specified. Super Lube came up.

Another vote for silicone grease..made my windows operate smooth and quiet again, seems to be holding up to wear and tear nicely

Tri-flow makes a really good clear grease as well. Thin coat only needed and it doesn't break down some plastics like a few greases out there do. It's also waterproof.

Castrol Optimol Paste White T is excellent for window regulators & anything that needs to slide,I think Castrol changed the name to Molub-Alloy Paste White T
