Highly recommend. Took it in to have the 11" Hemi Drums cut. Not many shops have the machine anymore.Hubs difficult to locate. None local. Shop was able to repair the race moving around and the brakes work as new. I striped the parking lot when leaving, and did not charge them. Car guys and old enough to work on classic Mopars.

A good alignment and front end shop is a blessing.
We have a local shop that has old timers that understand old cars and bias ply tires

I have some 11" drums still but no one wants them. :( Oh well. It's nice to find an alignment shop that understands the older cars. Been doing my own alignment for many years....

Glad you can stop, now.

Didn't you just have the front end aligned last summer?
No alignment needed. Had slight pulsation in pedal on high speed moderate applications high speed exit ramp applications. Smooth now. Good modulation. Put it in neutral at 80 exiting Curtner from 87 to test them. All the brakes I'll ever need unless they get smoked on the track from repeated apps. Musclecarbrakes.com.

Tell me about it. I couldn't give my HD drums away. So, into the trash they went.

Man, labor rates are getting outta hand!

Oh man....after 6 months or so, someone finally called about mine and sold most of them. Cheap but at least someone wanted them.

Ageeed. It is what it is. I want it safe, reliable, and a competent shop. I don't argue money anymore. Don't forget , this is Lib - Land. High rent, and the sunshine tax. We only live here for the weather - or lack of it.

Labor rates in Ohio are right at 90 an hour or so for a good shop.

It's not just there, but everywhere! Bro was hit for 105@hr. here a couple weeks ago.

Moparparts user here has hubs! He's got hard to find stuff.

Gad you found someone you like, but damn ... $200+ to turn drums, I really need to open my own shop !

I paid my local garage, that I've used for 30 years, exactly what they asked to turn my 4 drums. 40 measly Cdn pesos and they had to dig out the lathe!

cranky- are those 2 1/2 smooth non finned drums by any chance- someone is looking for them
Detroit auto parts in El Monte Ca is very reasonable as far as drum turning- there are at least 4 good shops around here
