Hi guys , I have a 66 Plymouth with a 22 inch radiator and I need a fan shroud, what I need to know is does it need to be specifically for a 66 or will others work? There are different years with the same measure radiator. Just wondering are they all the same. And the mounting hardware not sure how they work? Is there a website that shows how the hardware is installed. Any help would be greatfull. Thank you
Billy

According to Mega parts, there is a specific shroud for the '62 - '68 B body even though it looks very similar to the rest. Not sure why it would be so much more expensive.

It also uses mounts that are cheaper than what I had to use for my '69.
Can't recall if my mounting (hardware or shroud) came with any instructions, but it should be fairly self explanatory.

I’ve got a used one if your interested.

It's a 440, it gets a little hot in traffic just figured a shroud would help. It doesn't over heat but some of my freinds say those 440s are like that. I don't want a steel one looking for a fiberglass one

Worked for me. I'd recommend it. The ones in the link I posted ARE fiberglass.

The one thing that I am curious about is the radiator in my car has a flange on the one side so it mounts to the support it does not have anything on the other side that's why I'm wondering about the hardware kit

You may have to get creative. Maybe so L brackets.
I have used the 22" before and 440 with on heat problem. Make sure air can not go around the radiator.

A fan shroud is one of the most important items to ensure airflow through the radiator. A properly mounted shroud should certainly help a great deal.

Sorry, can't help with the details on the shroud for your car, however.

A pic or 2 would help us help you.

I know what his predicament looks like. Just have never seen a shroud on the 22" small block radiator. Even the old 318 poly never required one and if memory is correct the 361 - 383 used a 26" as well as the hemi. No 440 offered in 66.

I had it re-cord with an extra row in it. Here are some pics of the side

I bought the car with the 440 , it has the 318 radiator in . I would put a 26 in it but the support is set up for a 22 in

Have one just like it sitting around some where in original 3 core. Like stated earlier you are going to have to get creative if you really what a shroud.

I’ve got 2 new aluminum radiators that will fit and you can use a shroud. I’m not using them, they can go for a song.

Some pictures of my setup in a 66 Belvedere, 440, with a 26" aluminum rad. It is a stock shroud, with some home made mounting "Z" brackets. I made the templates out of cereal boxes and had a metal shop bend them up for me after I cut them to the size I needed.
