Not sure how much difference there is between a '68 GTX and a '69 Road Runner or what exactly you are looking for , but here are some pics of my '69 Road Runner if it helps any.

Just looking to see if I have the right things on it. I figured out that I have the right air cleaner for it. I just put the right painted valve covers on except for the right side valve cover. I think its for a A/C car. It doesn't have the heater hose bracket on the valve cover

shouldn't '68's have the heater hoses running thru a bracket attached to the valve cover? '69's had the bracket on the inner fender panel.

Yes from what I have found out but I don't have that valve cover. I have to use what I have.

Mine...no A/C, and correct air cleaner for my build date. Note the correct valve cover for 68.

This pic was taken a few years ago. I have cleaned up a few things since then. Rad cap, plug wires, rad hoses

Did your heater hoses come attached to the inner fender even though the right valve cover has the bracket on it ? Also is that your water temp sending unit beside the upper rad. hose. O n my das 68 the water temp sending unit is behind the alternator bracket

At the time of purchase, it had aftermarket valve covers and the PO used the bracket from a 69 screwed to the inner fender. I did get the correct valve covers and correct bracket that snaps into the pass valve cover, but I took this pic before I finished the conversion over. Subsequently, I went back to aftermarket V/C's and used the 69 bracket again.

Yes, that is an aftermarket water temp sender next to the lower part of the rad hose. I installed that one soon after I purchased the car.The placement where your Dad's sender is correct...I still have my stock one hooked up there as well.

And I have since taken out that stupid Summit Ford Mustang tach (installed by PO) lol

Love the white!!

I bought mine 5-6 years ago and it wasnt hard. They pop up here on FBBO from time to time. Not sure if they re-pop them or not. You'll need the bracket too.

Looks like this

Our 68 had a shorter bracket, not the long one. Not sure if it was an original or not. The 67 I'm working on now has a short bracket and it is the original one to the car.

Any idea what cars got the long vs short heater hose clip?

That's a good question. Anyone ?

The shorter one is for the Non-AC cars where the taller or longer one is for the AC equipped cars. These were found on some 67s and should be factory original for all of the 383/440 equipped 68 B-Bodies .

I have that same air cleaner on my Charger, but mine is an a/c car built in 11/67. You can see the correct heater hose bracket on the valve cover, but the hoses on a/c cars didn't clip onto that.
