Ever feel as if you punched yourself in the dick and regret it?

I have reached the point where people are taking a number to punch me in the dick!

I know a guy locally that owns a carburetor rebuild shop. I'll check with him and see what he can do.
Last year, he rebuilt a ThermoQuad for me and that engine started and ran great at any temperature. It had a functional choke.

no chokes ever for me here in Colorado. the trick is , pump the **** out of it, hit the key , do NOT let it die the first time it fires off , keep it running at 2,000 rpm for 2 minutes , slowly let off the pedal , blast the defrost and go back inside for that cup of coffee lol

I'm confused. Admittedly, a maladjusted choke is a PITA and you'd probably be better off without it, but what is so bad about a properly adjusted one? I don't see the down side.

Did you call the demon themselfs. I received some great over the phone advise from edelbrock techs..

Every engine is a bit different. I had a 400sb with a 750 Demon (no choke) that ran like a scalded dog but was an absolute PITA to start, my current engine had a choke but hated being choked and is now choke delete. People can say what they want but chokes are carbon deposit builders for your engine plain and simple, it's no different then cranking your idle screws way out... o.k. it's worse! I've easily started mine in below freezing temps and within 10-15 seconds I can walk away and it will idle until it's out if gas. Yes you have to briefly warm it up but you should always warm up any performance engine before driving anyways. No choke here and staying that way.

As for adding a choke, I bought the choke kit from Summit for my Demon.

That is what I have to do with my Charger....except that the heater/defroster/air-cond does not work, yet. I have a Classic Auto Air kit here I'm working on installing. Over the years I have tried to make the car more liveable as a driver rather than trying to just be a warm weather local show driver.
