That is the "Air-Tel" in Van Nuys, CA.

I got back last night at about 7:30 with a travel time of about 6 hours.
What a great time, better than usual. I got to meet several FBBO members and I was happy to find that nobody tried to punch me in the face. I know that it may happen someday so I've been watching a few Jackie Chan movies to prepare.
I met "HoseHead". That guy....What a great voice! After reading from FBBO members for years, you sometimes are surprised by the appearance of people but that guy could do Radio work, animated voice work, etc. I wanted to be a radio DJ when I was a kid and if I had his voice, that is what I probably would have pursued.
I got to see Dart4Forte again. He was good natured about the jokes I've hurled his way. I have to compliment him....He is one of the few that has that considerate demeanor where he actually ASKS other people about themselves and their projects rather than blabbing on and on about himself.
Speaking of blabbing....Phil-A-Buster was there as always. That is what I call this guy I see there every year. I'll refrain from describing him because if I did, you'll immediately know who I am referring to. This guy seems to glide from group to group, moving in on other people's conversations to talk on and on. He knows everything, he has been everywhere and has done it all.
I met Derwud and Bladecutter. Blade was as animated and intense as he is online. Derwud was friendly and funny but I didn't get much time to get an update on his Charger project.

Several of us went to Woodland Hills Sunday morning to see a few "Other" types of cars. I expected to see some high end exotics since it was called something like "Supercar Sunday" but I saw not a single Koenigsegg, no Lamborghinis and the Porsches I saw were not that flashy. I did see a few cars that are a rare sight on the streets: Mini Cooper, A Datsun 510, A Magnum P.I. Ferrari 308 and what had to be (In my opinion) the most hideous "kit car" that I have seen in years....An "Avanti" fiberglass tribute based on a Mustang Convertible.
One of the things that makes this show a great thing is all of the social activities outside of the show. The Cruise, the Bob's Big Boy, the Air-Tel parking lot groups hanging around chatting.

Pretty girl in Ojai wanted to see the 'Cuda. With the Hotchkis front bar and spacer from Kern I was better able to keep up with the Cuda when carving canyons.

Total trip miles: 969
On reliability, a tie for first place.

Darius 70 GTX, NO issues or hiccups entire trip.

CoronetDarter, cool white 360-5 Dart, NO issues entire trip.

Dennis H, lost a cap for the valve cover. Easy fix, available at the auto store.

68 Sportsatellite, unidentified rattle in motor. Pulled driver side valve cover off in Hollister. No problem found. Broke corner off of Mopar Performance cover when re installing. Leaked like mad. Found quick dry jb weld equivalent and repaired on road. ICING ON CAKE? It was a loose header bolt and the cover did not have to come off.
jbc426 with the 70 'Cuda: a philips screw inside the MSD loosened up and timing slipped and Car quit in parking lot thank God. In the mountains outside of Ojai the 'Cuda threw a belt. LUCKILY, one of the three belts I have been carrying for 15 years fit. And we had a 9/16 with us or I wouldn't be writing this from San Jose. No cell service or auto store fo many miles.

Morale of story: The prettier and faster they are, the more attention they need. MickM has a story too, but he can tell it more accurately.

Got home late. There is more to the adventure for another time. Travelled with and met the best Mopar people.
