I have noticed a few posts on EFI so I thought I would convey my experience. Actually this is my first EFI system, but the results have been notable. I had the system installed by the man who built my engine. He has installed several EFI systems (FAST,FiTECH, and Holley), in his opinion he likes the Holley Sniper the best, so that is what I went with. Here are the specifics on the car and motor:
1) 1964 Dodge Polara 500
2) 3.54 gears, P295/55 -15 ET Street SS tires
3) 500 cubic inch stroker (400 block)
4) ProComp CNC ported Aluminum heads 325 CC intake runners
5) Heads flow 330 cfm intake, 250 cfm exhaust @ 28"
6) Harlan Sharpe, roller tip, 1.5 ratio rockers
7) 230/236 @ .050", .550" lift Comp Roller Cam
8) Torker Intake
9) TTI Headers, 1 3/4" Primary, 3" collectors
10) 1800 RPM stall, the motor is a torque monster.
11) 9-1 Compression

On the original build I had a 800 CFM AVS Thunder Series Carb. Now that we have installed the Holley Sniper EFI the car is a completely different beast. It is set up to run a F/A ratio of 12.5 @ W.O.T, 13.5 at cruising, and 14 at idle. The car starts almost instantly and the throttle response is immediate. No hesitation and no bogging. I would highly recommend the switch

Notice anything in fuel consumption change at all? I know these cars don't get great fuel mileage anyway, but just wondering if you saw an improvement?

It appears to be better. Don't know by how much though. There is one major problem though, it is difficult not to stick your foot into it. I do know the old carburetion system was running too rich.

You will have to tape a chicken egg to the gas pedal to achieve maximum fuel economy.

ur set up is almost like mine w/ the eception of me having a bigger cam and more compression. And of course mine is a fast 2.0 f.i. system. I am not getting great mileage tho, no eggs here.
You do know that a torquer is a choke point in ur set up if it`s bone stock ?

I hear the Sniper is a good unit.
I tried the FiTech on the Charger because I was having problems with the carb, so I don't have a comparison between a "good" tuned carb and the FI, but the FI does run pretty good. I really have not messed with it that much and it runs good, but I want to try some changes to improve the cold start and idle.

The intake has been opened up quite a bit. The heads have MaxWedge style ports and the intake has been matched to them. I purposely ran a smaller cam due to having air conditioning and 91 Octane is about all that is readily available around here. It is mostly a driver

Are those Indy cast aluminum valve covers?
How much space do you have next to the MSD distributor?

It's my intention to switch to the Sniper setup, hear nothing but good things about it so maybe toward the end of this year or not long after I'll get it done after I get some intake work done first.

Yes they are Indy valve covers. There is about 1/8" of clearance. Not much, but they fit.

FWIW, the FAST dual sync distributor on a 440 with Stealth heads does not fit unless you grind some clearance in the head. It is not the diameter at the cap, but the way it tapers from the cap to the shaft. The Distributor taper was hitting the raise area of the head about 1/2 between the deck and valve cover. Might be an issue with other heads also?
The Holley EFI Dual-Sync "looks" just like the FAST Dual-Sync distributor.
The circled area in yellow is where I had to make some clearance.
