how dose the switch for power windows come out drivers door is there a clip or do i have to remove door panel .i think my switch is gone also dose anyone have a switch they would sell
.

I'm sure someone here can answer the install/remove question.
If you can't find a replacement I know a fellow in CA that repairs them. Usually $25 plus shipping for 2 gang, $35 for 4 I believe.
If you need his name, PM me.

The switches are kind of a bitch to get apart and not very intuitive.

The wiring pulls out through the hole in the door, but won't fit with the switch attached.

If it is like the ones in my '69 Coronet, the door panel has a switch holder case/bracket thing that attaches to the door panel that has four posts extending from the sides, and then the switch has spring clips that clip into the bracket. You can just pry between the switch and bracket to pop the switch out. The wiring connector is an odd flat connector that is just connected to posts on the back of the switch. The drivers door (4-switch) ground pin takes the most load as all the window motors ground through that connection. Adding the relays to each window motor takes the load off the switches and grounds the motors through the relay to body ground.

Those '66-'68 switches just pop right out, There is metal bezel attached to the door panel and there is a tang out the back that kinda holds the connector so it wont fall off. It should come out and go back in with the connector attached.

thanks i will try to remove sat or sun i thought it felt like it might snap out but i did not want to pry to hard . and i will get back to you about rebuild after i get it out ,i dont imagine ca is canada . i think it is the switch , because every year it takes almost a day for windows to start working .last year i had to wiggle switch a couple of times trough the year to get driver window to work ,this year same thing but a day later drivers window stopped others still work . and so it is the drivers door with all 4 switches .and again thanks for all help
