Carlisle show

If you are in York, you're 45 minutes from the fairgrounds. You could go HOME every night!!
Actually I am just 25 miles away, Back roads about 1/2 hour, been going there since 1974.
Stopped vending two years ago....too many thieves.

Camping might be the best, is Carlisle Barracks open on Sunday? Not really into Army, but sounds like a nice place to visit. When you can get beer at the USMC museum the others kinda pale in comparison, lol!

I've never been to the barracks, maybe somebody else has?
There is beer for sale at the show though $$$

Bring a tent and stay at Western Village RV park. It's like 10 min from the show, lots of cars stay here.
It will be like you're a kid again, course you won't be able to walk after that.
I can spring for an air mattress and some ibuprofen for ya:lol:.
See ya there my friend
PHUCK that!! I need a room with a shower!!

Carlisle barracks is open sunday not much to see on that base the Army heritage museum is right next to it worth the visit and it is free, Highly recommend the National Civil war museum just down the road in Harrisburg, one of the best military museums I have ever been to.

And air conditioning! After walking around there all day in that heat, who wants to sleep in a pup tent?

One year my son and I showed a customized truck that we built. We were up all night finishing all of the final details. Then we drove straight up without getting any sleep that night. It was the first weekend in August and we took a tent. Camped out on top of the hill with all the young people who brought trucks and Jeeps.

It was so hot I couldn't even sleep that night. Plus the ones that were there were partying all night. Then we had to endure the heat the next day at the show again. I was no good and couldn't wait to get home.

We're staying in a hotel 5 minutes away , after all the walking and hot weather it will be nice to sleep in a bed and turn up the air and have a cold beer .
We're staying at the Fairfield Marriot ..

There is always that RV you want to get:

Home sweet home, solar panels are included!! AC/ running hot & cold water -sort of, and a toilet!
It's got more miles than Apollo 11, and gets 4 mpg.
I'd say it's a no brainer RC, only 11.5K for all this luxury.

You guys make me laugh. Come to phoenix when its 100 plus for 30 plus days in a row. Lol

So who is coming to South Mountain to make a few passes??

We'll be there! I think seeing the old Mopars rip down the drag strip as they were built to do is the best part of the Chrysler weekend!!! I'll be driving the 64 Dodge from Massachusetts this year! I'll even take a few passes with it. 2 barrel 318 with steep gears..... might be in the high teens for times. Doing more for nostalgia sake.
