Does anyone have a picture of the original throttle return spring bracket for a 1965 Belvedere with the 383 4BBL engine? The one pictured in the passenger parts catalog doesn't look like the one being reproduced. The one in the catalog looks curved and appears to have a short tab curved downward near the bolt hole, whereas the repro is straight and has a very long tab after the bolt hole. Did they change? If not, do I need an original or will the repo work? Thanks

Pics please and aftermarket parts should be renamed Bolt on custom

Those catalog and even many service manual pics are not always correct/exact, especially when it comes to specifics on linkage pieces. They where meant to be a basic guide of how the parts are placed not exactly what they look like. I have seen pics in the manuals of an e-Body console for example with an A, B or C--Body shifter in it as memory serves me

Very true....my 70 b-body factory service manual shows a 69 air grabber setup....not much help

Here is the original that was on my '64 Polara 383. The car was an original 2bbl and 4bbl was dealer installed in '65. I don't know if its the one you're looking for but I purchased the car from the original owner so I have no reason to believe it wasn't installed by the dealer, especially since I have the original receipts and paperwork from when the work was done. I did "tweak" it a little to fit the high rise manifold I'm using on the 440 that's in it now because the angle was appreciably different than the stock low rise manifold. Don't mind the dust... the car is still under construction. Hope this helps.
