There's got to be more to this story. What are the details of the transaction ? Were you scammed ? Details/ info on the car ?

I have the VIN number & electronic receipts when I bought the car I know it sat behind a shop on Manatee Drive I bought it back in June and I was waiting to go on winter break at my job to go and pick this car up I also tried to have it transported three times and transport companies tried to rob me the guy I bought it from called me and said he sees I finally came and pick the car up I said no I did not I was waiting to come down on winter break to get it find the VIN number to the car and Hauling electronic receipts I paid for it

Sounds like the guy got tired of you storing it there

File a report with the police and cross your fingers for good luck.

In Ct you 10 to 14 days to pick up a car you buy. You could be out of luck unless you have something in writing, hope so. Friend of mine had a Duster would be race car at his outside his shop. Guys would put a deposit on it and never pick up the car. He made a ton of money. He'd Wait a month before giving up on depositor's.

I live in Sarasota(next town over) . Will put out word around here. Chances are it was punks (hot wire these cars in 1 minute for those in the skinny).Do a police report with the Bradenton cops asap(tell them you have a reward for it's return). Might call a couple of the boneyards and tell them there is a reward, non titled cars gets $250 to the seller. So reward should be more. Sucks sorry, about your luck. When did the car go missing? 727 open pumpkin?

I got a deposit on a car years back and he never showed up. After 6 months, I sold it to someone else. The guy that left the deposit never did get in touch with me. Nowadays I ask for at least 20 percent down and make then sign an agreement that they will pick up the car within 30 days.

get in touch with the local police and file a report asap
that sucks you lost your ride.

Sorry, to hear that...Absolute shame...

As said file a police report......

make a report and say were it was

I payed full amount no deposit and offered to pay storage upon pick up

Feel for you..... If you knew the trash that lives in the area, you would have picked it up the next day..... All toilets seem to flush into Florida.....

Sorry to hear about the loss. I hope you get it back but...... in 2010 I had a car stolen out of my garage and it was never found. I don't think the cops in Florida give a ,,,,,, care. Hope it works out better for you. I live in Spring Hill and will watch out for it.

That car is now a Honda. The picture is all you'll ever have. Scrap is up and anything over 15 years old you don't need a title to get scrap price.

Lost my 69RT/SE Charger in Houston never to be seen again. It sucks.

Whenever I buy a car out of state, I put as small a deposit as possible on it. Then I pick it up within 2 weeks, letting the seller know when I will be there. Never had a problem doing it like this. I would at least have had him send you the title, if you paid for it. With no title or bill of sale, you really have no proof the car is yours, even if you do locate it. Chalk it up to experience. I like to hand the guy the money, get the title signed, and get the keys all at once. Preferably in a bank, or a police station. That's the safest and best way.
