I ran the big Mopar Race at Las Vegas this last weekend (Apr 27/28/29).
I ran in the AFX/NSS class which had right at 48 cars entered.
It is "index" racing dialing in at Quarter second intervals.
All 4 of my time runs (2 Fri/2 Sat) were 10.51/10.52/10.51 & 10.52 so I dialed in at 10.50.
My car typically runs 10.15 to 10.20 @ 131+mph at my home track at Famoso (Bakersfield) California where the adjusted altitude is generally around 1500 to 2500 feet.
The air at Las Vegas this last weekend was 4500 to 4900 feet so everyone was running about 1/4 second slower than normal.
I got all the way to the Semi-Finals ( 4 cars left) and broke out to lose.
Car found some unexpected TAIL WIND and went 10.452 (not 10.51 or 10.52) and instead of my typical 127 at Vegas the car picked up 2.5 mph on that run to 129.50.
I was still in the money so it wasn't all bad. Car ran perfect all weekend, no problems.
