hey gents. The title says it all.
Some background info
71 Charger 500
Non original 340 dropped in by previous owner. The radiator is pissing air out the front and I need a replacement. Current radiator is 3574626 - 59538 (26 inch) the replacement I’m looking at is a cheap reproduction on eBay, interchanges as cc374 (a champion radiator) lists as 3 core direct replacement
I don’t really care if the alum replacement looks original or anything like that I just want it to fit without issue and keep the car cool. The intention is to be a driver so looking to save a lil moment and get cheap on eBay. Thanks guys

Champions cool reasonably well BUT they don't fit too well (I have one). It took me 3 days, drilling holes & completely butchering a factory fan shroud to make it work. The radiator wanted to bolt in about 2"-3" too high and the hood wouldn't close. Cheap/Good/Fits Great do not go together. Maybe you can find someone to re-core the radiator you have?

Before you buy at least consider cold case. They are a fbbo sponsor.

Agree with above, check out ECP ... I have there 26" in my 68 coronet, I would definitely buy from them again

Speed Cooling ie ECP. Not a bad unit with 2 big 1" rows. However, l hope your 26" unit doesn't have a fan shroud like the one pictured in the link. Where's the other 3" of shroud on each side? We also had a customer drive up to our booth at Good Guys show and the side braces ended about 1" before the end of the tank on both sides. That's 8 missing tubes. For just a little bit more, you can get Griffin and Be Cool quality from Our dual 1 1/4" units. Our shrouds cover the entire core. Our cores go to the very edge of the tanks. There's more. Check out coldcaseradiators.com if you are interested.

He's right, you should get the orig radiator repaired and turned into a 3 row.
They can do amazing things at the Radiator shop.

Yes, that shroud in the picture is stupid. I run a factory replacement shroud and it fit just as it should ...

I have run 3-4 champions in the last 10-15 years and never an issue fitting, even a factory shroud bolted right up. I’m pretty sure the 70 B/E Body shroud for the 26” Radiator is the one that fits perfect. Assuming you buy the 26” Rad.

Hey Ccas,.... Do you guys offer a shroud for a mechanical fan that will fit your 26 performance radiator for manual trans? I would rather not runn electric fans on mine if I don't have to.

We don't make any OEM shrouds. That process has been handled by all the vertical market Mopar specialists. Most of those shrouds are available. Our goal is and will always be to try and make sure our radiators can use all those shrouds. We're not fully there on all of them but we are making a lot of progress.

Good timing on this post as my radiator isn't quite doing the job (205-215) after motor rebuild. I obtained an original shroud for my'63 and 7-blade fan. Temp dropped about 10-degrees; not enough. So facing a heftier rad or re-do of mine I reckon. Like to stay with original looking rad and mechanical fan.

Ron, rather than have us jack this thread, I'd be happy to have you start a new thread that I can participate in or you can PM me your situation.

I have installed a couple Champion 3 row radiators with zero problems. The fit and finish have always been fine.
