66/67 Belvedere, Satellite, GTX Quarter Panel Survey

There is no good aftermarket rear quarter sections. AMD is the best but the do not have the wheel wells. I have used sherman and they are not correct and a POS - huge time to get them to work correctly- best way is get a set cut out of a four door car if you can. My driver Sherman panel was finally removed as even the arch was off thus factory trim did not fit plus the body lines are not chrisp like factory. My 2 cents I would be real happy if AMD made a set. I have used their stuff on other projects and they all worked well.

Yeah there isn't a good quarter for 66-67 b body but i used what is available and it worked for me yes i wish AMD would make atleast a half quarter but they don't so try finding NOS there out there but you could almost buy another project car for what people are askin so everyone has there own opinion i used them yes it was a lil more work but I've been doin body work for 35 plus yrs and made it happen and i have a friend that is a novice but good with his hands and he put one on by himself and did a fantastic job

i also am in need of quarter panel patch with the wheel arch for my 67 GTX, i cant believe AMD dont or wont make them... the longer they wait the more we are forced to use the sub- quality stuff thats out there and the more money they wont make... the mass's have spoken!!! the PR guy at AMD really dropped the ball on this one.

I contacted AMD today to suggest the need for quality quarter panels for 66/67 Belv/Sat and GTX's. I told them that there is a need for quarter panels due to the high incidence of rust in the forward section of the quarter panel at the rear wheel well. I told them, that many owners of these cars have discussed the need on FBBO.

The representative from AMD said there is just not enough need of these quarter panels to justify the manufacture of a new product. He went on to say maybe 5-10 guys need these panel or maybe even 15-20 and that amount doesn't justify a need.

I may be biased but I think there are many more of these b-body owners that need new quarters, I'd like to get a response from those of you who need these quarters, maybe Joey could attach this to an on going poll that could eventually be forwarded to AMD and maybe change their minds and attitude toward 66/67 b-bodies.

I am also in need of full panels (both sides). In the early 80's I had full length lower panels by Sherman & Assoc. put on and they lasted for a decade or so. No one made trunk extensions then. No longer produced.
I do have a spare front fender I don't need anymore.

They need to make all the metal I have passed on buying 67 GTX,s because of not being able to get sheet metal for them. I ended up buying one that I kept for myself that came from southern Ca. How do they know what kind of demand there is most people look on the web and if they dont find the part they dont call them

I need left and right full quarters for 1967 Plymouth Satellite. The car has been sitting in my barn for almost ten years now. I really thought AMD would make full quarters by now, but I suspect the high price of NOS parts prevents them from investing in this venture. They need a good pair to copy. If I am not mistaken, they had a request for good 66-67 quarters in some magazines 10-15 years ago. Either that, or I want them so bad I dreamed up that request.

I need some new quarters for my car I would love if amd made new quarters

Come on Rick, there is a ton of interest for these panels!!!! i need both quarters, outer wheel housings and trunk extensions for my 67 X..... I CAN SEND YOU A DEPOSIT ..... My restoration is on hold along with countless others. Please make this happen. thanks for listening... Rich

member just listed a 66 vert for 1200 that needs quarters.....

I'm shocked that no one makes quarters for these years.

AMD did make a lower rear patch panel for the 66-67 Belvedere, but have discontinued it. I bought some a few years back from a vendor that advertised them as discontinued. Guess what, when they arrived they had been shipped directly from AMD. That tooling should cost them nothing. I'm sure they didn't just throw it away.

I just bought a 67 GTX. I wish I'd done more research on patch panels. I will probably be putting it up for sale.
