Color sanding/cutting and buffing is what makes the car. Blocking in the primer super time consuming. Painting car takes no time. Color sanding is the reason people charge 15k for paint jobs. This ain't no scuff and bake stuff that he is doing. Keepat this is great looking work. How long do you let the first clear sit(shrink up) before you sand and reclear. I try to wait four or so days. At least one day of full sun.

Actually wait of about two or three weeks before I start color sanding and I save a sample from each panel I clearcoat to gauge when it’s close to being done shrinking. In the pictures you’ll see what was left over from yesterday versus what was left over from the past two months.
 
I guess if that's the best you can get it it will be fine. I guess............

I'm joking obviously.
 
Sundays are good for a lot of reasons. Updates on this build are one of them. Badass work.

Never seen that done, do you keep measuring them until they quit shrinking? Fenders look terrific, great job!

After about three weeks they’re pretty much done shrinking. They end up about the size you see in that picture that’s when I start cutting buffing.

Clear is all blocked with 800 grit and I hope to spray the last 2 coats of clear this weekend. Last of the painting ;-) on to the color sanding and polishing :-(

This is a multi magazine cover car for sure.....

I’m not sure about that, but I do know 1 day it will have a car cover on it when it’s finished ;-)
