68 Roadrunner tribute

:welcome:Looks good. The coyote won't know what hit him.

Welcome to FBBO from sunny SoCal. Sweet looking bird tribute you’ve done there. Nice work

Good gravy! Last October and done now? I'm going on 4 years and just about done with the body except for doors and fenders! Very impressive!

The Roadrunner grille was a dark argent silver with a texture. A little darker than argent silver and not dark as flat black. I found some rattle can paint that is fairly close, but still not quite dark enough..........MO
If you have the name and paint code for that rattle can I’d be interested. I’m going to drive it to Mopars in the Park in Farmington Mn June 2, maybe I’ll see you there

Grumpy, it matters not whether it is a RR, a Satty or a Belvedere, you have done a mighty fine job bringing it back. I commend you! Welcome from the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for sharing your efforts..:thankyou:

I would like to meet up with you at Farmington. I think I will offer my 64 Dodge at the car corral--if they have one.
Sunday, I will get that paint information and post it here, also a pic of my grill with that paint.............................MO

Label on the rattle can says: TOTALLY AUTO DARK ARGENT MSDS:JE1 & AERO
Obtained from : TOTALLY AUTO

If applied as directions, it does have a texture like or very similar to the factory 1968 Roadrunner grille. In my opinion, it is a little lighter color though.
I don't have a picture of it, but I can take one if you want.
