I am getting a 65 Coronet sedan. Its an older pro street car but I'd like to change it up and go for the A990 clone look. What is all available ? I need it to have a bench seat. Thought of putting in a bench seat with A100 seat brakets. Also, the one headlight grill...is it available and is it expensive ? What all else could I change up ? Any good suggestions on what wheels look good on it...its a black car.

Thanks for any help

If you have someone else do the grill figure it will cost you a minimum of a grand as you need two grills plus restoration costs.

65 super stock hood scoop & steel wheels

The A 100 seat brackets may put the bench too high.

Not sure how it would work on a bench seat, but Gary Ball's A990 seat brackets are actually shorter than the originals. Gary also makes A990 interior door panels.

Repop radio and heater plates are available.

Since the super stocks have the heater delete plate with only the ‘cool’ button and the temp slider - what is under the dash? I’ve got the heater out of my ‘65 as the core was leaking and haven’t decided if I’ll fix it and reinstall or leave it out.

These gaskets are still available, as far as I know. Bought carb gaskets from hemi eddy $15/$20 bucks. Didn't know you could still buy them. 10 years ago NAPA $17 for the set .
Not mine, saw a setup like this sell for $4200 appox. without velocity stack. He over values the stacks and one can't read the numbers.Holley 3116s came on 65's if it matters to you.

I did my own and then had C&J mopar trim strip polish it and reanodize it . You need 2 grill centers to make just the center. This is the mock up grill I made while trying to figure out how to do it. With a little time you can do it. The last picture is the final grill..

and too think you almost sold this car ?

In my opinion for 65s the best wheels are the pre-67 steelies with poverty caps or old torq thrust styles (straight spokes). ET wheels make a really good aluminum replica of the original magnesiums which I put on mine. And you have to do the hood scoop!

I still do grille work, and have s few pieces for doing a 65’ Coronet. I just don’t have the ability to brite dip the grilles. But they are highly polished and painted.
