Hi
My 383 is in need of new carburetor. Currently holley 750 no choke, mechanical secondaries. I'm not a carb guy so, it Runs great but once in while just start dripping fuel out of the accelerator pump area. Actually a fast drip and will continue after shutting off the motor. Would rather change to new carb, don't want to chance it dropping fuel on intake when out on a cruise
I have had demons on other cars with great results. It's a street car, cam, headers, currently running on 105 octane. Any Thoughts?
Thank You

Great,
I will give that a try first. Thank you both for the help. You have some Super Nice cars btw.

You can rebuild and tune that carb without a problem but if you go with a new one you would like a vaccume secondary a lot better for street driving and tuneability in my opinion. Used Demon carbs are fairly reasonable and are a great carb. Regardless of brand, buy a GOOD book and you will be a step up on many. Good luck.

Awesome... Thank you. I may try to go to vacuum. Probably find a good book first to see what else would help in my application. Any thoughts on a good book?

Yes but you need to make a carb choice before the tuning book. May I ask what you gearing ratio is?

i love vitamin c 1970's. I would just fix the holley though if you have it. If you want an afb style carb I have a 750 edelbrock you can try just pay shipping cost. They are good street carbs. PM if interested, I'm trying to thin the herd.

It was kinda said already, but yes on changing accel. pump diaphragms. They come with the Holley rebuild kits that run $30-$40 and are very easy to change. Today's gas and/or sitting causes them to develop leaks like that it's not a big deal
