Thanks

This is what I used in my 69.

I bought my dyna-mat off amazon in rolls. It was a lot less expensive than going to other traditional sources. Seems to work great for the reasons you’re looking for. Soundeadening and heat deflection. That was a few years ago -not sure if it’s still around.

I use " Boom Matt" on two cars now. I think it is the same as " Fat Matt" and "Dyna mat" First, figure out how many square foot you need. Go to E bay and compare the different sizes and how much it cost per square foot. I picked a box of 1' X 2' ( rounded off to nearest inches" in the number of sq. ft. for my car. Speedway motors with their free shipping had the best deal. It pays to shop and do the math...............................MO

Heating duct insulation rolls at your Home Depot or Lowe’s works pretty darn good and much cheaper!

Eastwood has their x-mat on sale this month, which I was close to pulling the trigger on.

The fat mat is metal building insulation available at most metal building supply houses. Just installed it in my 64 bbelvefere. I used 12" w but it is available in 18".
12" $47.00
