So what does this tell you?

All valid answers though incorrect.
My guess would be that I smashed it with my header during install.
I've been chasing a little hiccup since the install and hope this was it.

I would have thought to much wrench

I was thinking socket not on all the way and slipped off the hex.

Looks like some of the Autolites did over the years. One time I pulled a spark plug wire off and it looked kinda weird. The whole electrode came out still attached to the clip in the boot! I quit using them after that.....

Dang it :poke:Cranky! I've been using Autolites in my wife's 421 and my 440+6 for 2 years now. My engine builder for the Pontiac who has built as many engines as I have had lunches, who I've known for decades, recommended Autolites, and since then so did many others whom I trust, including Don at FBO Ignition who I got my current iggy from.
Unless a vast chorus of Mopar family members chime in here in unison with a different proven brand, I'm sticking with Autolites
:soapbox:

I use Autolites and Champions. Plug above looks like the plug socket used to install or remove was missing its inner rubber sleeve. Good way to break plug insulators.

I have seen a few crack when tightening if not real careful as it happened to me before. Good luck as I hope you are right and its ok now. Ron

This was in the 70's early 80's. Noticed several that looked like they were leaking around the top of the base. The porcelain looked like it had burn marks on em then when one let go of the center electrode, I knew they were having some problems. If they are working well for you, keep using them. I'm sure not going to say bad things about ya if you do lol

I didn't feel like taking an hour out of my life to install this one plug after the headers were installed.
So....
That one plug went in before the headers and voila,
Another lesson learned.

My mysterious hiccup has disappeared.
The car ran great yesterday.
