Car draws major attn anywhere I take it, which is why I chose a BAD *** MOPAR in the first place.

Total respect Ma Mopar for those and the 68 Hemi Dart and Barracuda....
"A" bodies too small for me to really be comfortable, and at 56, I am willing to sacrifice some extra vehicle weight for the Coke bottle looks and extra space of my B Body...

stunning car, what did it run?

Is that the black 68 GTS that hit the rail at speed circa 1991 at Gainesville?

It was Orlando Speedworld at a Mopar Show. Maiden voyage for the car. Hit 2nd and boom. Turned out to be a bad steering coupler, took forever to find the problem. Car ran and steered fine, but torque from engine would bind the coupler.

QuarterPanel was repaired, but filled with bondo instead of being pulled and repaired correctly. Former Buddy later repaired it correctly many years later after some Lady drove her ATV into the passenger side door while I was in the lanes waiting to make a qualifying pass. Hit the Car so hard, my Helmet hit the roll cage. But amazingly, only the door was harmed. She mistook the accelerator for the brake pedal kinda story.

Every once in a while, someone asks if this was the Dart that hit the guardrail at the Mopar Show. You guys NEVER FORGET...but that's a good thing. Great to see that the Car is remembered.

Have had the Dart since 1989. Many time Pro ET Bracket Winner at Southern Drag Strips.
Currently recovering financially after 2 lemon 440 engine builds...NEVER let your friends do Motors for you.

RE: '68 GTS-

That was a gorgeous car.

My friends and I drooled all over it.

You should have heard the gasps and "Oh, F*CK" exclamations.

I think some of us actually wept.

Glad to see it back.

Yup, I can relate. Once it gets outta shape, you're only along for the ride.
Glad you were able to eventually reel it in and not total that 63.
I see your tires were ruined, as were mine. Didnt think an accident would ruin tires and bend my wheels, but all four were toasted.
Amazing how popular your Car becomes in the pits, after an accident. :popcorn2:
