We just pulled this car our of a container, my dad bought it new in 1964, it's been in storage for the nearly 30 years.

welcome to FBBO from Sunny NorCal Sierras

Welcome from Ohio. 30yrs., I can relate to that, get the long overdue maintenance done first; including pre-oiling of engine before fire-up.

Quite a history! Not many can say they have their car in the family they bought new soooo long ago. Must have been some special feeling the car had to hang onto it and a wise choice; it's a special car.

that is a great story....WELCOME...like 64's a lot..
Sonny Approved!

great project now you can hold on to it for thirty more years. welcome to the forum. your dad is cool

Welcome to FBBO. It feels good to get the Belvedere running after that long rest. Mine sat for 40 years before I got it running in 2015.

Welcome from Indiana. Really like the early Bs.

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal. Sweet ride - will be fun to bring it back to life. Enjoy!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in FL and the project is going on in GA so it will be a few weeks before I have more pics. The plan now is to get it running and driving and "fix" the issues that will inevitably pop up and then take it apart and do paint and body work. There really isn't a whole lot of bad rot, the usual places but my dad had the car undercoated when it was new with what looks like about 1/8th of an inch of undercoating so it survived pretty well. I have a couple more photos I will dig up today and post them as well with more to follow in a few weeks.

These were a couple more pictures I had of the fender tag and some speed shop I guess my dad must have used when he was in the army stationed in Fort Brag.
