Anyone on here have a 440 with a 4 speed and an 11" clutch combo in a 68-69 B body they can comment on which starter fits? I have a 68 Charger with starter cooking issues and fitment as well. The one in the car is hitting the header and binding when hot. ROBBMC made a starter that TTI says needs to be used but now I am reading they changed the dimensions on the starter by 3/8" in an area that now hits headers. Anyone have another starter they know fits? Not in an auto or small clutch because I think those work but in a specific 143 tooth flywheel and 440 combo. Thanks in advance!

Dakota small block starter, about 1990 or so. May need some very minor modification where the wires connect.

Looking at both of those, I am still concerned with the placement of the solenoid on them. They both stick out towards he header where it is TIGHT! Even the clockable one is only adjustable and it doesn't move much. That Powermaster is $300, so at that point I would go with the ROBBMC. Just curious if anyone actually has this combo and knows of one that definitely fits other than the ROBBMC.

The Robbmc starter fit my 440 / 4speed with the 143 flywheel, but my TTI headers are 1 -7/8"
There was plenty of room around the starter, so I'd think it would work with the 2" TTI's

Do you have the 3005 model?

Ok. I heard it changed so wanted to be certain.

My 9523 clocked away from my Doug's headers and wrapped in heat blanket works great!
