Hey all... '67 Coronet R/T with 440. Looking to replace rear springs with factory correct. Has anyone used the Mopar springs supplied by Chrysler? One would think they are factory correct but who knows. I see other companies advertising as factory correct replacement but they seem to be pricey. Anyone know the color for this application... thanks!

I just changed the springs on my 66 satellite. The mopar "factory replacements" are not identical the front bushing is larger in the originals.
The replacements have more springs in the pack as well.
I just threw mine in my sons truck for scrap.
They would be good candidates to get recurved and restored, although the curve looked to be OK on the ground next to the new ones.
I believe black would be correct, although the pair I took off were not but someone may have painted them years ago.

You can build a new set to be 100% concours.....But it takes a little more work and some extra money....And reuse a few of the shorter leaves off your old set and a few holes drilled for the some of the straps....

The correct straps and interliners are available through Frank Badalson.....

I use Eaton spring which is a little more pricey than others but are higher quality IMHO.....

X2 for ESPO. Car is sitting a little high right now but there's nothing in it. These were 'stock' ride height with the 6 ply on left and 7 right, 2 halves IIRC. No part numbers stamped in or anything like that. At a glance they look right.

Found my pics of the Eaton springs that were converted to concours. Several of the small leafs were replaced from the original set. Eyes bushings are NOS. The liners, pads, clamps etc are from Frank Badalson.....Holes had to be drilled in some of the leafs to accommodate the correct factory clamps with tabs.

This is only if your going for an OE type look.....If not use them as is....

Thanks all for the replies. So, Mopar and concourse are out... one no good, one to expensive. Somewhere in the middle is my answer. Probably factory correct from one of the reputable companies. Just a side note. To buy and ship any of the good springs to my location in Canada will cost me a little over $1000 Canadian. Btw I did try to have my springs rebuild but could find no one who was willing to even attempt it. There is a large company close by who specializes in springs, Spring Service actually, and they weren't interested. Oh well, on ward and up ward!

I wouldn't say the Mopar replacements are not good. Just not an exact match. They look fine to me and work well. $260 from Summit if you reuse your shackles and just buy some bushing.

I just replaced mine on my '66 this spring with Espos made to stock specs. I'm happy with the results. They were great to do business with.

Hi there just to give my 2 cents (Canadian) I ordered the XHD springs from a Mopar dealership in Toronto for $130 each plus the rubber shackle bushings approx. $15. As Canadians we get nailed for shipping from the US, plus taxes plus duty plus a charge for collecting the taxes...anyway looks great, sits nice and I can finally fit my 255/60/15 without rubbing, cheers.

If you want a custom spring go ESPO, they’re amazing. If you buy MoPar XHDs, get two passenger side ones or two drivers, the staggered leaf deal was a pain imo and if you’re just cruising not needed really. The XHD equivalents from ESPO were nicer, heavier and better finished for only a little more, but thats a hindrance to you kind people to the North. I’d be completely happy with the XHDs, I actually had them, but switched to 2” over stock custom ESPOs to run a 255/70/15 tire.

MoPar doesn’t have “Resto Springs” just replacement XHD HEMI/440 springs or Super Stock springs.
