14 in tire recommendations?

ebay has several vendors and brands of 14" RWL, as easy as clicking.

I use discounttireonline as a vendor via ebay and they offer free shipping usually within the week or even 48 hours.

You might also want to check out Hankook brand. They offer modern compound RWL tires.

Yes, I agree (ebay & discount tire) and have them on my list to check into (Hankook). In fact there is a 66 or 67 Sport Fury that I often see wandering about or in the parking lot of a local auto parts- paint shop with Hankook Kinergy ST 225/70R14´s on vitnage Anson alum. wheels caressing the pavement. It would appear to be a fine excuse to meet the owner....?!

My oh My.... American owned tire company tires on American hustle cars, rolling along American roads????!!! How quaintly sacrilegious. I like it soooooooooooooooo much!

Chipped lowers, wet Dana 60, Bilsteins, Route 66. Doesn't get any better.

Those rear tires are not 14" size.

I bought a set of take off Hankook tires in Burien Washington.
Drove across country with them.
I thought those things were never going to wear out so I finally broke down and replaced them on my driver.
I often wonder if all Hankook tires are wear proof?:)
They are on a project car at the moment.

Hankook (Korean, IIRC) recently opened a HQ building in.....

Akron OH- Traditional home of all the US tire MFG.

Smart move to leverage the talent pool there.

According to Tire Rack, about 85% of Copper Cobra G/Ts are now made in Mexico. Country of origin found here -> https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Cooper&tireModel=Cobra+Radial+G/T

Not saying the Cobras are bad tires but one may be disappointed if they believe they are running MADE IN USA tires on their Muscle Car, of which, does any such tire exist today?

When possible, I want American stuff. Like Amsoil. And Florida orange juice. Minute Maid gets oranges from Brazil. Baloney.

Same here, but unfortunately, the choices are vary few if any.

This will be a fun exorcise. Everyone go check your DOT Manufacturing Plant code on your current set of tires and report back what you find. Details here -> http://www.harriger.com

That is exactly what some folk at several local tire stores told me today.
Guess I´ll hold my nose and go with the Altimax RT43´s.

I'll start it off. These are where the tires are manufactured on my two current vehicles...

Copper CS5 Grand Touring "U9' - COOPER TIRE & RUBBER CO - TUPELO MISSISSIPPI, UNITED STATES

Michelin Defender LTX "B9" - MICHELIN NORTH AMERICA, INC. - LEXINGTON SOUTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES

Love the CS 5 Cooper Grand Touring on the modern Mopar. Tupelo is good.

My brother has a set of Cooper Cobras that are about 14-Year’s old. Those say MADE IN U.S.A., right on them and no DOT code. I’d imagine the newer Cobras have the DOT code which translates to Made in Mexico. Waiting for someone to confirm that.

Don't know if you've pulled the trigger on the Altimax RT43's, but I was just looking at the Hankook Kinergy ST tires. These Hankooks have a UTOG: 680 AA rating; better than the General Tire or Uniroyal counterparts, and these Hankooks are listed as Made In U.S.A., whereas the others are made south of the border. Currently you can buy them on sale with free shipping and $50 dollar Mail-In-Rebate for as low as $304.64 out-the-door.

Subject to further scrutiny, these Hankook Kinergy ST tires would be my choice if I were to buy a set of new tires today.
